Lynda Cannon hails from an old Colorado ranching family with ties to both sides of the mountains. She divides her time between publishing a half-dozen magazines and raising Registered Angus Cattle with her dad who is a pioneer of the registered Angus business. After attending school in Littleton, Hotchkiss, Durango and Phoenix, Lynda started the Pine River Times newspaper in Bayfield, Colorado. Her newspaper was true to her pioneering spirit, being one of the first five in the country to use desktop publishing… a personal computer to produce the pages. She returned to the Hotchkiss ranch after working in Maryland/Delaware, South Carolina, and Arizona. Since 2003, Lynda has published affordable, quality real estate magazines in this area.
Our Philosophy & Commitment
Like most people viewing this website, we’re irrevocably drawn to the sprawling, rolling western terrain. We founded the Ranch & Resort magazine with appreciation for the unique and special significance this branch of real estate has for the western tradition. We believe in the pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit. We admire the enterprise and creativity of those of you exploring the variety of opportunities and adventure inherent within these pages.
Our goal is to make it easier for buyers and sellers to find a perfect match as you travel through this ever-changing landscape. We focus on value, and the old-fashioned tradition of personal attention and customer service. We’re committed to keeping our advertising prices affordable for the independent broker and go-it-alone homeowner while offering the level of quality and professionalism expected by our more urbane advertisers. Our focus is sharp and defined and our distribution extensive and growing still.
We welcome any suggestions you might have for improving our site and our magazine. We’re also delighted to hear if our pages have helped you along the way. If you have a testimonial or personal story you’d like to share, please don’t hesitate a second to write us.
